Started the morning at the reception site to help set up with the bride and her peeps. Then I was sent on a mission to find limes for the bar. Marissa had a cute idea to place laminated menu cards for what the bar had to offer in the slit of a lime. This is me at lunch cutting the limes with the BIGGEST knife I'd ever seen. The servers were soo confused as to why I'd brought my own limes for margaritas to lunch. Ha!

After a quick powdering of the nose we headed to the church to await the ceremony. It was beautiful, or so I've heard. I was busy entertaining our lovely niece and trying to occupy her mind all the while teaching her how to whisper. :) I managed a few tears as she walked down the aisle and during the vows plus Nate managed to get this picture of the ceremony.

Pat and Rissa had these amazing balloons made for the end of the ceremony. The string, balloon and card they wrote on were all made of natural fibers. The cards had an email for people to send in when/if they received them. I thought it was a great idea, don't you? Plus it was so pretty!

We rode the shuttle with the wedding party so we got to see a lot of the wedding pictures. Here are my "version" of them...trust me, the professional shots are just a bit better. Ha!

We had a fabulous night with the family. Dancing, eating and talking away...

Speaking of eating...check out these dessert tables. The wedding cake was beautiful and Nate's caramel hearts were a HUGE hit too!

And look at our late night snacks... Mini hot dog for him. Brie cheese and crackers for her.

The party got so hot that the Toledo Fire Department came. Seriously, they did! Actually, the band had some fog going during the reception and apparently it got a little out of control because the fire alarm went off for a good while before these guys finally arrived. Because we were at the actual Toledo train station I think they were required by law to arrive. Anywhoo, it made for some funny photos for the guests!

Obviously the best part of the day was seeing the dessert bar. I mean, seeing Pat and Rissa tie the knot. But I do have to say that the one thing I can NOT stop telling people about was the fabulous band that they had at their wedding,
56Daze. Seriously, they were amazing! Not only did they blow us away, but the lead singer just happens to be the son of my elementary school music teacher in Cincinnati. Strange world, isn't it? I highly encourage anyone getting married to consider a band...what a difference it makes!!!
