I don't know how it happened.
But it just did.
HBO had a "behind the scenes" special that we started watching.
Four weeks later we were shocked at ourselves.
Stunned at our excitement.
Daytona 500 was upon us.
Lord help us...we've tuned in to watch the 48 car several times now and we can't get enough.
Just kill me if I start wearing cut off jean shorts and Nate starts sporting a mullet.

Well, you DO live down South now!! And don't worry, it happened to ME, too. I babysat a couple boys one summer and they were OBSESSED... so re-watching taped races everyday for an entire summer gets to you. They also made me watch all sorts of behind the scenes stuff, too.
Isn't it crazy how it sucks you in?! My husband even ended up going to a NASCAR race in Dallas and loved it...I love to give him a hard time about it, but it's fun! :)
hahaha my father is so into nascar and I vowed never to be a fan. Now i find myself rooting for #9 or kyle bush cause who else would get booed on mothers day with his momma there...lol
