A Golden Birthday

On Saturday night we went to a local bar to a) watch a UFC fight and b) celebrate a coworkers birthday. Weird mix, right? Her husband and mine are big UFC fans and we'd already made plans to watch it when she realized it coincided with her birthday. So, being the party planner that she is, she just meshed the two!



Here's the goodies we're giving her today though. Mariah and I teach first grade together and I've had the priviledge of getting to know some of her favorite things. I tried to pay homage to those on her big day - her GOLDEN birthday!

A polka dot bag with pink stuffing...



What's inside? 29 packs of gum! Mariah and I share a love for chewing gum and this should get her through the end of the school year...I hope!



Annnd...the grand finale! Chocolate covered cookie dough truffles! (Sans eggs!) Nate swears that they taste just like cookie dough...so thats exciting! I made 29 just for her...



All wrapped up with a pink bow to go!



Hmm...I wonder what my next excuse for baking will be????
